Die Implementierung findet remote mit der Unterstützung durch Engineers Without Borders East Africa statt, die den Fortschritt der Installation überwachen und uns mit täglichen Updates sowie Bildmaterial auf dem neusten Stand halten.

Anfang der Woche wurden die benötigten Materialien, wie Solarpanels, Teile der Befestigungsstrukturen und Materialien für den Zaun durch das Bauunternehmen „All in Trade“ angeliefert.

Parallel dazu wurde das vorgesehene Gelände für die PV-Anlage vorbereitet und geebnet, sodass eine stabilere Basis für die Anlage entsteht. Dann wurden Fundamentgräben ausgegraben, sowie das Fundament selbst errichtet.

Der ursprünglich für die Energieversorgung der Solaranlage vorgesehene Raum, soll nun doch für das Waisenhaus als Speisekammer erhalten bleiben. Deshalb wird angrenzend an die Solaranlage nun eine kleine 3,5 x 3,5 m große Hütte gebaut.

Trotz ein paar Anlaufschwierigkeiten kam es bisher noch zu keinen großen Verzögerungen und wir hoffen, dass es weiter erfolgreich mit den kommenden Arbeiten voran gehen kann.

The implementation is taking place remotely with the support of Engineers without Borders East Africa, who are monitoring the progress of the installation and keep us updated with daily news and visuals.

At the beginning of the week, the required materials, such as solar panels, part of the mounting structures and materials for the fence were delivered by "All in Trade", the construction company.

At the same time, the designated area for the PV plant was prepared and levelled so that a more stable base for the plant could be created. Then foundation trenches could be dug and the foundation itself erected.

The space originally intended for the energy supply of the solar plant is now to be kept for the orphanage as a pantry. Therefore, a small 3.5x3.5 m hut is now being built adjacent to the solar plant.

Despite a few teething problems, there have been no major delays so far and we hope to continue to move forward successfully with the upcoming work.
