I visited Matt last week at his place in Bondalem again. He told me that people from Bondalem cleaning every 2 weeks a long street voluntarily. I've got the invitation from Nyoman to participate the next cleaning. It happens the day before yesterday. We cleaned some 100 metres.

I visited Matt last week at his place in Bondalem again. He told me that people from Bondalem cleaning every 2 weeks a long street voluntarily. I've got the invitation from Nyoman to participate the next cleaning. It happens the day before yesterday. We cleaned some 100 metres.

He picked me up at 7 and three hours later I was sweating very well but happy. The mans are doing a very good job every two weeks. I think I looked tired after this hard work because they gave me all the Bisang Goreng what they left.  Its a pity that we have no real solution for a lot of the rubbish. I'm sure with man like these guys we can make a greener Bondalem.
 Next time they like to walk the street first to collect all the plastic. Then they will sell it to get some food or water with this money. Because they all use their private brooms and sickles. They asked for some donation from the owners of the houses along the street but some are giving no money because they said they have to pay a lot to government already and they expect to get the street cleaned with this money.

Its a pity that we still have no running compost and plastic business so we have to burn the rubbish. There is no need to bring it to the dump/depot in Bondalem because its closed....

 But the work of this people is a start to change the minds. These men are not throwing waste to this street. The opposite is true. When Nyoman brought me back he stopped abruptly. The reason was a broken flower on the side of the street. Maybe a turning car killed the plant nearly. Nyoman planted the flower back. So he cares a lot of his voluntarily work like the others.
